On February 19, 2016 the Polish Competition Law Association held a workshop on “Judgments of the Supreme Court in Cases Relating to Competition and Consumer Protection in 2015”.

The workshop was focused on exploring judgments of the Supreme Court handed down in 2015 in cases concerning a variety of issues relating to competition and consumer protection, such as the objective justification for dominant undertaking's conduct, tacit collusion, powers of the UOKiK Chairperson delegations, decision types and the admissibility of imposing the obligation to publish it, average consumer characteristics, court supervision over the imposition of financial penalties, the classification of the use of good practices as unfair market practice, the legal status of the party entitled under an insurance agreement (injured party).

The workshop was conducted by Małgorzata Sieradzka, Ph.D. and Konrad Kohutek, Ph.D. Małgorzata Sieradzka, Ph.D., is a lecturer at the Law and Administration Faculty of Łazarski University in Warsaw and an advocate  practicing at her MSW Law Firm. She specializes in competition and consumer protection law and public procurement law. She is the author of monograph studies, commentaries and numerous scholarly publications.

Konrad Kohutek, Ph.D., professor at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. Professor Kohutek, a specialist in anti-trust law, has authored more than 150 publications (mostly on anti-trust issues), including the second edition of the Commentary to the Act on Competition and Consumer Protection (Warsaw, September 2014) which he co-authored with M. Sieradzka.
